Hello, I'm Robert Neunteufel, FI-member in Austria/Europe.

I am working in the Education-Department of the Chamber of Labor in Graz / Styria.

We have been organizing quite a lot of YMoYL workshops in the last years and we found, that most of the participants really don't like to keep track of their ingoing and outgoing money.

During the next weeks Gudrun Fleischmann, a student of Sociology at the University of Graz is doing a voluntary service in my department.

Gudrun is going to write a master-thesis about the question, why people start to worry about their own finances and begin to track their money.

What are the reasons for the resistance against tracking? Which factors can give motivation for tracking? Are people starting tracking only when they have problems with their finances?

We would be very interested in your comments and your personal and general experience in this field.

Have a nice day,

Robert Neunteufel and Gudrun Fleischmann
